Cotton or glass wool
Description
Cotton wool is a soft, fluffy, white material with a neutral smell and taste, while fiberglass has a fibrous, glassy structure usually in shades of yellow or gray and is also not intended for consumption. Both do not provide nutritional value and have no health benefits as food; in the case of fiberglass, there is a risk of skin, eye, and respiratory irritation upon contact or inhalation. In culinary practice, these are not culinary ingredients but technical materials used as thermal insulation or in protective packaging for devices; they should never come into direct contact with food or be used for preparing dishes. Store in a dry, closed container, away from sources of fire, moisture, and out of reach of children and food, using gloves and a mask when handling fiberglass to avoid irritation.
