Chicken broth or water

Description

Chicken broth has a clear, golden color and a delicate, meaty-vegetable flavor, while water is clear and neutral, not altering the flavor profile of the dish. Homemade broth provides a small amount of protein, electrolytes (sodium, potassium), trace elements, as well as collagen and amino acids from the bones, supporting hydration, digestion, and joint recovery; at the same time, attention should be paid to the salt content. Water does not contribute calories or nutrients, but it is essential for proper hydration and flavor dilution. In the kitchen, broth enhances soups, sauces, risottos, braised meats, and rice dishes, while water is suitable for cooking pasta, steaming, blending, and diluting. Broth should be quickly cooled after preparation, stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days, or frozen for up to 3 months; water should be kept in clean, closed containers in a cool place.
