Pestki granatu
Description
Pomegranate seeds are small, juicy arils with an intense ruby color, translucent flesh, and a delicately crunchy interior. Their flavor combines a distinct sweetness with a pleasant, refreshing tartness, making them an attractive accent in both sweet and savory dishes. Nutritionally, the seeds are a source of vitamin C, B vitamins, potassium, fiber, and powerful antioxidants (polyphenols) that support the circulatory system and have anti-inflammatory effects. Regular consumption may aid digestion and positively influence lipid profiles, but moderation is advised due to natural sugars. In the kitchen, they pair well with salads, yogurts, cheeses, meat dishes (e.g., lamb, duck), sauces, desserts, and cocktails, adding freshness and color. Store fresh seeds in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–5 days, or freeze them individually on a tray and then transfer to zip-lock bags for longer storage (up to several months).
