Raspberry tomatoes
Description
Raspberry tomatoes are a variety with an intense raspberry-pink color and juicy flesh, characterized by a slightly sweet, mildly tangy flavor with a fruity note reminiscent of berries. They have a thin skin and a regular, often round shape, making them an attractive visual element in dishes. Nutritionally, they are low in calories, rich in vitamin C, provitamin A (beta-carotene), potassium, fiber, and antioxidants such as lycopene and flavonoids, which support immunity, skin health, and cardiovascular health. In the kitchen, they are perfect raw in salads, caprese, sandwiches, and salsas, as well as gently roasted, grilled, or stewed for sauces and pasta, pairing excellently with basil, mozzarella, and olive oil. It is best to store them at room temperature, in a ventilated place, away from light and moisture; refrigerate only when very ripe, and return to room temperature before serving for fuller flavor.
