Strawberries
Description
Strawberries are juicy, red fruits with an intense sweet-tart flavor and a characteristic conical shape covered in tiny seeds. They have an attractive shine and various shades of red, from light pink to deep scarlet, making them a striking element in dishes and desserts. They are low in calories and rich in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, folates, and antioxidants (anthocyanins and ellagic acid), which support immunity, heart health, digestion, and have anti-inflammatory properties. In the kitchen, strawberries work well in desserts, cakes, smoothies, salads, sauces, jams, and cocktails, as well as in savory combinations with cheese, arugula, or meat. To maintain freshness, store them in the refrigerator in a breathable container, do not wash before storing, and use within 2–3 days; for longer storage, it is best to freeze them after drying.
