Cytryny
Description
Lemons are bright yellow, oval fruits with a thin, aromatic skin and juicy, very sour flesh with distinct notes of fresh bitterness in the albedo. They are a rich source of vitamin C, flavonoids, and pectin fiber with low calorie content, which supports immunity, iron absorption, digestion, and has antioxidant properties, positively affecting the skin and the condition of blood vessels. In the kitchen, lemons add freshness to sauces, dressings, marinades, fish, poultry, and vegetables, as well as sweet baked goods, desserts, jams, and beverages; the zest enhances the aroma of dishes. Store whole fruits at room temperature for up to a week or in the refrigerator in a container/plastic bag for several weeks to prevent them from drying out. Always wash them before zesting, and you can freeze the juice and zest to extend their shelf life.
