wildflower honey
Description
Multifloral honey is a versatile, mild honey with a variable color ranging from light amber to darker shades, depending on the season and nectar sources, with a delicate floral aroma and subtle sweetness without the dominant notes characteristic of monofloral honeys. This ingredient is mainly a source of easily digestible simple sugars (glucose and fructose), providing about 300 kcal per 100 g, as well as small amounts of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidant compounds; it also has antimicrobial properties and soothes throat irritations, which can support the body's natural defense mechanisms. In the kitchen, multifloral honey works well as a universal sweetener for tea, yogurt, and cereals, an ingredient in dressings, marinades, glazes, and baked goods, as well as an excellent complement to cheeses and roasted meat dishes. It should be stored in a tightly sealed container in a dry, cool place away from light; it does not require refrigeration, and any crystallization can be removed by gently warming it in a water bath.
