Description
Canned corn (drained) consists of sweet, firm kernels with a light yellow color and a shiny, slightly moist surface. It has a delicately crunchy texture and natural sweetness with a subtle hint of starch, making it a versatile flavor addition. It is a source of carbohydrates, fiber, a small amount of protein, as well as B vitamins, folic acid, and minerals such as magnesium and phosphorus; it also contains antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin that support eye health. Draining and rinsing reduces excess salt from the brine.
