Likier pomarańczowy (typu cointreau lub triple sec)
Description
Orange liqueur such as Cointreau or triple sec is a clear or slightly amber, sweet-bitter liqueur with an intense aroma of orange peel, featuring a distinct note of citrus freshness and a clean, long-lasting sweetness. It typically contains 25–40% alcohol, a fairly high sugar content, and provides about 70–100 kcal per 30 ml, making it caloric; trace amounts of vitamin C and flavonoids from the peel are present, but health benefits are limited and depend on moderate consumption. In the kitchen, the liqueur wonderfully enhances cocktails (e.g., Margarita, Cosmopolitan), dessert sauces, creams, cakes, and marinades for game, adding a sophisticated citrus bitterness. Store in a closed bottle in a cool, dark place; it does not require refrigeration, but once opened, it is best consumed within 1–2 years to preserve its aroma.
