Parsley (for serving, optional)
Description
Parsley is a small, light green herb with delicately feathery leaves and a fresh, slightly peppery, herbal aroma with a hint of grass. As a garnish, it adds vibrant color and freshness to dishes, enhancing flavors without overpowering them. It is rich in vitamins C, K, and A, folic acid, and minerals such as iron and potassium; it also contains antioxidants and compounds with anti-inflammatory properties that support immunity, bone health, and digestion. In the kitchen, it is used as a decoration and finishing touch: it pairs well with soups, salads, sauces, meat dishes, fish, spreads, sandwiches, as well as fresh dips and dressings. To maintain freshness, store it in the refrigerator wrapped in a damp paper towel in an airtight container or placed in a glass of water and covered with a bag; it can also be finely chopped and frozen in oil or water cubes.
