Cucumber (slices)
Description
Cucumber (slices) are fresh, crunchy slices with a delicate, slightly sweet, and refreshing taste, surrounded by a thin skin and light green flesh. They are low in calories and consist of over 95% water, providing vitamin K, small amounts of vitamin C, potassium, as well as fiber and antioxidants, which support hydration, digestion, and skin health, and have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Cucumber slices are great for salads, sandwiches, tzatziki dips, sushi, and as a fresh addition to flavored waters and appetizers. To maintain freshness, store whole cucumbers in the refrigerator wrapped in a paper towel in a perforated bag, and cut slices in an airtight container, consuming them within 2–3 days, avoiding proximity to ethylene-producing fruits.
