Lime slices (for decoration)
Description
Lime slices are characterized by an intense, refreshing, sour taste with an aromatic, slightly bitter skin; they attract attention with their vibrant green color, thin, translucent segments, and decorative shape perfect for serving. They are low in calories, provide vitamin C, antioxidants, and flavonoids, as well as citric acid, which supports immunity, aids digestion, and increases iron absorption from meals. Lime slices are great as a decoration for cocktails, flavored waters, and teas, enhance the flavor of fish, seafood, ceviche, salads, sauces, and desserts, and serve as an element in marinades and dressings. It is best to store them in the refrigerator in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap, to be used within 2–4 days for freshness; they can be frozen for 2–3 months or dried for longer storage.
