Cornflakes
Description
Corn flakes are thin, golden, crispy flakes with a delicate, slightly sweet flavor of toasted corn and a neutral aroma that easily blends with other ingredients. They are usually light and crunchy, quickly softening in milk or liquids. Nutritionally, they are a source of easily digestible carbohydrates and energy value, often enriched with B vitamins and iron, while being low in fat; however, it is worth paying attention to added sugar and low fiber content. They are perfect for breakfast with milk or yogurt, with fruits, as an ingredient in muesli, crumbly toppings, breading for frying, or as a decoration for desserts. Store in an airtight container in a dry, cool place, away from moisture, to maintain their crunchiness.
