Mango puree
Description
Mango puree is a smooth, intensely orange-yellow mass with a full, tropical aroma and a sweet-sour taste with hints of peach and citrus. It has a silky texture, binds well with other ingredients, and adds freshness and exoticism to dishes. As a dietitian, I emphasize that the puree is a source of vitamin C, provitamin A (beta-carotene), fiber, and antioxidants; it provides natural sugars and a moderate amount of calories, supporting immunity and skin health when consumed in moderation. In the kitchen, it works well in smoothies, desserts, ice creams, meat sauces, dressings, marinades, and baked goods, as well as an addition to yogurts or muesli. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 48–72 hours or portion and freeze for up to 3 months, thawing in the refrigerator and avoiding refreezing.
