Orange juice
Description
Orange juice has a fresh, bright orange color and a citrus aroma with natural sweetness and a slight acidity that refreshes the palate. It is rich in vitamin C, folic acid, potassium, and antioxidants (flavonoids), which support immunity, skin health, and cardiovascular health, while also providing quick energy in the form of natural sugars. In the kitchen, it pairs well with breakfasts, cocktails, dressings, marinades, desserts, and baked goods, as well as being an ingredient in sauces for fish and poultry, where it balances rich flavors. Fresh juice is best stored in a tightly sealed glass or plastic container in the refrigerator and consumed within 48–72 hours; pasteurized juice can be kept longer according to the expiration date. For longer storage, juice can be frozen.
