Peanut butter (creamy)
Description
Creamy peanut butter has an intense, slightly sweet-salty flavor of roasted peanuts and a smooth, creamy texture with a warm, beige-brown color. Depending on the composition, it can be shinier (with added oil) or matte and thicker in natural versions, where the oil may separate. The product is rich in energy, healthy monounsaturated fats, plant protein, fiber, and vitamins and minerals such as vitamin E, niacin, and magnesium, which promote satiety, support muscles, and, when consumed in moderation, positively affect heart health. Creamy peanut butter works great as a spread, an ingredient in smoothies, sauces (e.g., satay), dressings, baked goods, and desserts, as well as an addition to oatmeal or vegetables. When choosing, it is worth paying attention to the absence of hydrogenated fats and excess sugar. Natural peanut butter requires mixing after the oil separates; once opened, it is best stored in an airtight jar, away from light and heat, in the refrigerator to extend shelf life and prevent rancidity. Due to its high calorie content and strong allergen, it should be used in moderation.
