Natural honey
Description
Natural honey is a thick, sticky product with a sweet, often floral aroma and a color ranging from light amber to dark brown, depending on the pollen and nectar. The taste can be mild or intense, with notes of flowers, herbs, or molasses, and honey often crystallizes while retaining its full flavor. Nutritionally, it mainly consists of easily digestible sugars (fructose, glucose), contains small amounts of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, exhibiting antibacterial and soothing properties; it provides quick energy, helps soothe sore throats, and has prebiotic effects. In the kitchen, honey replaces sugar in beverages, desserts, marinades, dressings, and glazes, pairing well with cheeses, yogurts, nuts, citrus fruits, and ginger. Store in a tightly sealed jar in a dry, cool place away from light; refrigeration is not necessary, and crystallization can be restored by gently heating in a water bath. Do not give to infants under 1 year of age.
