Edamame (cooked, frozen)

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Edamame (cooked, frozen) are young, light green soybean seeds with a slightly sweet, nutty flavor and a creamy yet firm texture. They are most often served in pods or already shelled; after cooking, they retain their vibrant color and pleasant firmness, which contrasts well with spices. As a source of complete plant protein, edamame also provides fiber, B vitamins, vitamin K, iron, magnesium, and soy isoflavones, supporting satiety, muscle recovery, and lipid profile. They work well as a snack sprinkled with sea salt, an addition to salads, bowls, stir-fries, soups, and spreads (e.g., edamame hummus), as well as a healthy ingredient in pasta or sushi. They are stored frozen at -18°C, and after thawing and heating, should be consumed within 2–3 days, and refreezing is not recommended.
