Strong coffee (espresso or brewed)
Description
Strong coffee (espresso or brewed) is characterized by an intense, roasted aroma and a pronounced bitterness with hints of acidity; espresso has a thick, olive-colored crema on the surface, while brewed coffee is dark, clear, and full of flavor. Nutritionally, black coffee contains virtually no calories, fat, or sugar, providing caffeine and trace amounts of minerals (potassium, magnesium) and B vitamins, and above all, polyphenols with antioxidant properties; moderate consumption improves alertness and may support metabolism, although it can cause excessive stimulation in some individuals. In the kitchen, strong coffee pairs wonderfully with milk and alcohol in drinks (latte, americano, espresso martini), enhances desserts (tiramisu, creams, ice creams), and works well in marinades and sauces for meats and chocolate. Store the beans in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place; grind the coffee just before brewing, and consume the finished espresso immediately, as the flavor dissipates quickly.
