Long cucumber (seedless)
Description
Long cucumber (seedless) is an elongated, light green vegetable fruit with a thin skin, crunchy flesh, and a subtly fresh, slightly sweet taste without a pronounced bitterness. The absence of seeds makes the texture uniform and pleasant for direct consumption. It is exceptionally low in calories, mainly composed of water, providing small amounts of fiber, vitamin K, vitamin C, and potassium, as well as antioxidants; it regulates hydration, supports digestion, and has a low glycemic load, which is conducive to a light, refreshing diet. In the kitchen, long cucumber is perfect for salads, cold soups, tzatziki dips, sandwiches, sushi, and wraps, as well as for marinades and quick preserves; it pairs well with yogurt, dill, lemon, and fish. Store it in the refrigerator in the vegetable drawer, preferably unwashed, wrapped in a paper towel in a perforated bag, away from ethylene-producing fruits, using it within a week.
