Mushroom in brine

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Mushrooms in brine are delicate, meaty common mushrooms immersed in an aromatic vinegar-spice brine that gives them a slightly tangy, spicy flavor and a shiny appearance. They usually come in the form of small, firm caps with a light beige color, often with the addition of herbs, roots, or peppercorns, which enriches their aroma and makes them an attractive element on the table. Nutritionally, mushrooms in brine are low in calories, providing plant protein, fiber, B vitamins, and minerals such as potassium and selenium, as well as containing antioxidants that support immunity. However, attention should be paid to the salt and vinegar content in the brine, especially on a low-sodium diet. They are perfect as a snack, an addition to salads, sandwiches, pizza, vegetable salad, sauces, and grilled dishes. Store in the refrigerator after opening, submerged in the original brine, tightly sealed, and consume within 7–14 days; extended storage before opening depends on the expiration date on the label.
