Almond flakes
Description
Almond flakes are thin, creamy-white slices of blanched almonds with a delicate, crunchy texture and a subtle, sweet, nutty aroma. When toasted, they develop a more intense flavor and a golden color, while maintaining a light crunch that adds variety to the texture of dishes. They are a concentrated source of healthy monounsaturated fats, plant protein, fiber, vitamin E, and minerals such as magnesium and calcium. Regular, moderate consumption may support heart health, glycemic control, and a feeling of fullness, while their antioxidant components help protect cells from oxidative stress. Almond flakes are great for baking, muesli, salads, desserts, and Asian dishes as a topping or a crunchy addition. Store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place; for longer freshness, it is advisable to keep them in the refrigerator or freezer, away from light and moisture.
