Fresh dill or parsley leaves

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Fresh dill and parsley are aromatic herbs with vibrant green colors: dill has delicate, feathery leaves and a sweet, anise-like, slightly citrus flavor, while parsley comes in flat-leaf or curly varieties and is characterized by a fresh, slightly peppery, "green" aroma. Both herbs are low in calories, rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals like iron and potassium, and contain antioxidants and compounds with anti-inflammatory properties that aid digestion, supporting overall immunity and cardiovascular health. Culinary uses include adding them at the end of cooking to soups, sauces, salads, fish dishes, eggs, potatoes, and dips; dill pairs wonderfully with fish, cucumbers, and creamy sauces, while parsley perfectly enhances the flavor of meats, salads, and pesto. Store the herbs in the refrigerator after trimming the ends in a glass of water covered loosely with plastic wrap or wrapped in a damp paper towel in an airtight container; they can also be frozen in cubes of oil or water for longer use.
