Smoked bacon
Description
Smoked bacon is slices or strips of pork meat with an intense, salty, and slightly sweet smoky aroma, characterized by a marbled fat structure and a golden surface after processing. The flavor is pronounced and hearty, and the texture can be crispy after frying or soft after stewing. Nutritionally, bacon provides high-quality protein, B vitamins (especially B12 and niacin), and minerals such as zinc and selenium, but it is also high in saturated fats and salt, so it should be consumed in moderation. In the kitchen, it enhances the flavor of soups, breakfast dishes, pasta, salads, and stews, serving as an aromatic base or decoration. Store bacon in the refrigerator, tightly wrapped, and use it within a few days of opening, or freeze portions for longer storage, thawing slowly in the refrigerator before use.
