Crème fraîche 18%

🌱 Vegetarian

Description

Crème fraîche 18% is a mildly sour, velvety cream with a creamy, slightly yellowish color and smooth consistency, milder in taste than sour cream but distinctly fermented. Due to its moderate fat content, it provides energy, protein, and calcium; as a fermented product, it may also contain beneficial bacterial cultures, although not all commercial versions retain probiotic activity. It works well both cold, as an addition to soups, sauces, dips, and desserts, and for gentle heating — it adds creaminess and mild acidity to dishes, although with very long cooking, it may slightly curdle. Store in the refrigerator in its original packaging, tightly closed, use within a few days after opening, and long-term freezing is not recommended due to changes in texture.
