Sugar with real vanilla
Description
Sugar with real vanilla is granulated white sugar infused with a subtle, creamy-floral aroma of vanilla, often with visible dark specks of ground vanilla pod. The taste is dominated by the sweetness of the sugar, complemented by a warm, powdery note of vanilla that gives baked goods and beverages an elegant, rounded flavor profile. Nutritionally, it is mainly sucrose providing energy in the form of calories, while the actual values of micronutrients are negligible; vanilla extract contributes small amounts of aromatic compounds with potential antioxidant properties, which is why using natural vanilla enhances flavor without the need for additional flavorings. Vanilla sugar works well in cakes, cookies, creams, puddings, ice creams, coffee, and tea, as well as for sprinkling on fruits or preparing caramel sauces, and also as an elegant addition to breakfasts and desserts. It should be stored in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place away from moisture and strong odors; to enhance the aroma, it can be stored together with a vanilla pod. It is best used within a few months to a year to maintain its full aroma.
