Espresso
Description
Espresso is a concentrated brew with an intense, full flavor featuring a distinct bitterness and notes of roasting, chocolate, or fruit depending on the beans; it is characterized by a dark color and a creamy, golden crema on the surface. Nutritionally, espresso provides a minimal amount of calories, is rich in caffeine and antioxidants (polyphenols), which can support alertness, concentration, and positively affect metabolism and health profile with moderate consumption. In the kitchen, espresso serves as a base for milk drinks, liqueurs, and desserts, pairing excellently with chocolate, vanilla, and nuts; it is also used in sauces, marinades, and baked goods, enhancing flavors and adding depth. The beans should be stored in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place away from light; ground coffee is best used within a few weeks, and freshly brewed espresso should be consumed immediately after preparation.
