Dried goji berries
Description
Dried goji berries are small, elongated fruits with an intense red-orange color, soft and slightly chewy after drying; the taste is sweet and sour with a subtle berry-citrus note and a delicate tartness. They are a concentrated source of nutrients: they contain vitamins A and C, iron, fiber, small amounts of protein, and antioxidants (carotenoids and polyphenols), which may support immunity, eye health, and overall cell protection when part of a balanced diet. In the kitchen, they work well in cereals and muesli, oatmeal, smoothies, salads, desserts, and baking, as well as an addition to Asian dishes or braised meats; they can be eaten dry or soaked, combined with nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. Store in a sealed, dry, and cool place away from light; for longer shelf life, it is advisable to keep them in the refrigerator.
