Wild berries
Description
Forest berries are small, round fruits with an intense, dark color — ranging from deep blue to almost black — with juicy flesh and a distinct sweet-tart flavor with a forest, slightly earthy note. Their aroma is fresh and characteristic, pairing well with both desserts and savory dishes. They are low in calories, rich in fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, and manganese, and are abundant in anthocyanins and other antioxidants that support vascular health, have anti-inflammatory effects, and may positively influence memory and glucose metabolism. In the kitchen, they are perfect for jams, sauces, baking, pancakes, yogurts, and salads, as well as for accompanying game and cheeses. Store them in the refrigerator in a breathable container, do not wash before storing; for longer storage, freeze them spread out on a baking sheet, then transfer to bags.
