Chicken egg
Description
Chicken eggs have a delicate, slightly creamy flavor; raw egg whites are transparent, turning snow-white when cooked, while the yolk is smooth and intensely yellow or orange depending on the hen's diet. They are a concentrated source of high-quality protein and vitamins A, D, B12, and riboflavin, and also contain choline, iron, selenium, and antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, which support muscle, brain function, and eye health; moderate consumption is beneficial for satiety and muscle mass building, while maintaining a balanced diet. Eggs are incredibly versatile — suitable for hard or soft boiling, frying, scrambling, baking, making sauces, mayonnaise, creams, and pastries, as well as serving as a binder and coating. Store them in their original packaging in the refrigerator, do not wash before storing, placing them pointy end down, and use within a few weeks or before the expiration date.
