Light muscovado brown sugar
Description
Light muscovado sugar is an unrefined sugar with a moist, soft texture and light brown color, featuring distinct notes of molasses. The flavor is intense, caramel-toffee-like with a slight earthy bitterness, making it more aromatic than regular brown sugar. In terms of nutritional value, it mainly provides sucrose and calories similar to other sugars, but due to its molasses content, it contains trace amounts of minerals such as iron, calcium, potassium, and magnesium, as well as small amounts of antioxidants; however, it is not a dietary product and should be consumed in moderation. In the kitchen, it pairs perfectly with baked goods, cookies, gingerbread, barbecue sauces, glazes, coffee, and cocktails, enhancing flavor and moisture. To preserve its aroma and softness, store it in an airtight, moisture-proof container in a dry, cool place; if it starts to harden, briefly place a slice of apple or a piece of bread in the container to restore moisture.
