Whole bean coffee (high-quality arabica)
Description
High-quality Arabica coffee beans are characterized by a fruity-floral aroma, balanced acidity, and subtle sweetness; the beans are small, oval, and shiny, with colors ranging from light brown to dark brown with an oily sheen in darker roasts. Nutritionally, coffee contains virtually no calories or fat, provides small amounts of magnesium, potassium, and B vitamins, and is rich in antioxidants (chlorogenic acids); moderate consumption improves alertness, metabolism, and may be associated with a lower risk of certain chronic diseases, although benefits depend on dosage and individual caffeine tolerance. In the kitchen, Arabica is excellent for espresso, pour-overs, French press, or cold brew, as well as a flavoring addition in desserts, sauces, marinades, and alcoholic cocktails. To preserve the aroma, store the beans in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture; grind them just before brewing, avoiding the refrigerator and frequent opening of the package.
