Sprouts (optional)
Description
Sprouts are delicate, crunchy shoots with a fresh, slightly nutty or spicy flavor, depending on the type (e.g., alfalfa, radish, bean). They resemble thin stems with small leaves, often in light green and cream shades, which add lightness and texture to dishes. Nutritionally, they are low in calories, rich in vitamins (especially C, K, and folic acid), minerals, fiber, enzymes, and small amounts of protein and antioxidants, supporting digestion, immunity, and overall vitality. Sprouts are great in salads, sandwiches, wraps, open-face sandwiches, as a delicate topping on soups and Asian dishes, and also for a quick stir-fry. Store in the refrigerator, preferably after a gentle rinse and thorough drying, in a breathable container or paper towel, and use within 3–5 days; avoid excessive moisture and the smell of other products, and discard if there are signs of sliminess or an unpleasant odor.
