Raspberry jam
Description
Raspberry jam is an intensely raspberry-flavored, sweet and sour delicacy with a deep ruby color, shiny, thick consistency, and small seeds that add texture and the authentic aroma of fresh fruit. Nutritionally, it is a source of quickly digestible carbohydrates and calories, contains small amounts of protein and fat, and depending on the recipe, retains some fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants (anthocyanins) that may support cardiovascular health and have anti-inflammatory effects; due to its sugar content, it is advisable to consume it in moderation. The jam pairs wonderfully with bread, aged cheeses, cottage cheese, pancakes, yogurts, and desserts, adding a distinctive flavor and juicy sweetness, and can also be used as a filling for cakes or a topping for ice cream. It is best stored in tightly sealed, sterile jars; unopened jars should be kept in a cool, dry place, and once opened, must be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within a few weeks or portioned and frozen for longer freshness.
