Milk (3.2% fat)
Description
Milk with 3.2% fat is creamy in texture, white-cream in color, and has a mild, slightly sweet taste with a noticeable richness of fat, providing a pleasant sensation on the palate. It is a natural source of high-quality protein and easily absorbable calcium; in 100 ml, there are about 64 kcal, 3.2 g of fat, 3–3.4 g of protein, 4.8 g of lactose, and ~120 mg of calcium, often also containing vitamin B12, riboflavin, and (if fortified) vitamin D. Regular consumption supports the building and maintenance of muscle mass and bone health, although individuals with elevated cholesterol levels should consider the content of saturated fats. In the kitchen, 3.2% milk is perfect for drinking, coffee, cereals, sauces, cream soups, creams, desserts, baking, and homemade puddings; it adds creaminess and improves the texture of dishes. It should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of 0–4°C, preferably in its original packaging, tightly closed; once opened, it should be consumed within 3–5 days, shaken vigorously before use, avoiding frequent temperature changes, and freezing is possible but may worsen the texture.
