Strong espresso coffee

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Strong espresso coffee is an intense, concentrated coffee with a deep, bitter-fruity flavor, featuring distinct roasting notes and a bittersweet, caramel-chocolate finish; it is served in a small cup with a thick, golden crema on the surface. Nutritionally, pure espresso has very few calories, trace amounts of protein and fat, and small amounts of vitamins and minerals; however, it is rich in caffeine (usually 60–100 mg per serving) and antioxidants, which in moderate amounts can support alertness, metabolism, and have beneficial epidemiological links to the health of the nervous and metabolic systems. In the kitchen, strong espresso is a versatile ingredient: a base for milk drinks like cappuccino or latte, a component in desserts like tiramisu, ice cream, and ganache, as well as an addition to marinades, sauces, and alcoholic cocktails. To preserve its aroma, it is best to store whole beans in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place and grind them just before brewing; ground coffee should be used within a few weeks, avoiding moisture and long-term storage in the refrigerator.
