Frozen raspberries
Description
Frozen raspberries have an intense, sweet-tart flavor with a distinct floral and forest note, and their appearance consists of small, deep pink to red fruit clusters covered in frost, which retain the delicate structure of pearl-like drupelets after thawing. They are low in calories, rich in fiber, vitamin C, manganese, and strong antioxidants (anthocyanins and ellagitannins), which support immunity, heart health, reduce inflammation, and positively affect digestion. In the kitchen, frozen raspberries work well in smoothies, sauces, compotes, baked goods, jams, as an addition to yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream, and pair excellently with chocolate, lemon, and nuts. Store them in the freezer in an airtight container at a temperature of about −18°C, preferably use within 8–12 months; do not refreeze after thawing, thaw preferably in the refrigerator or under cool running water.
