Parsley (optional)
Description
Parsley is an intensely green herb with flat or curly leaves, distinguished by its fresh, herbal aroma with a slight peppery and citrus note. As an optional element of a dish, it serves excellently as a decorative and aromatic addition, enhancing the flavors of dishes without overwhelming them. It is low in calories and rich in vitamins C, K, and A, folate, iron, and antioxidants, which support immunity, bone health, and blood clotting, and have anti-inflammatory properties. Parsley pairs well with soups, salads, sauces, marinades, fish, poultry, potatoes, and purées, as well as with pesto and fresh dips. Store it in the refrigerator wrapped in a damp paper towel or placed in a glass of water; use fresh as soon as possible, and you can also freeze chopped parsley, sealed in oil in portions.
