Hazelnut oil
Description
Hazelnut oil has a delicate, slightly sweet and nutty aroma, as well as a golden-amber color with a clear consistency, which enriches dishes with a subtle hint of hazelnuts. It is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (mainly oleic acid), vitamin E, and antioxidants, which help protect cells and may support heart health; it is worth remembering that like all oils, it is caloric (about 120 kcal per tablespoon). Culinarily, it works perfectly in salad dressings, vinaigrettes, as a finishing oil for vegetables, fish, and chocolate desserts, as well as in low-temperature frying or baking; for higher temperatures, use the refined version. Store in a cool, dark place in a tightly closed bottle, preferably in the refrigerator after opening, to extend freshness and prevent rancidity.
