Seasonal fruit
Description
Seasonal fruit is a fresh, aromatic element of the kitchen with a diverse flavor profile — ranging from sweet to slightly tart — and an attractive appearance, which depending on the variety can have juicy flesh, a crunchy skin, or vibrant color. From a nutritional standpoint, seasonal fruits are usually low in calories, rich in vitamins (especially C), antioxidants, fiber, and minerals, which support immunity, digestive health, skin condition, and lipid profile with regular consumption. In the kitchen, seasonal fruits are suitable for eating raw, as well as for salads, desserts, jams, smoothies, or baking, perfectly pairing with dairy, nuts, and herbs. To maintain freshness, store them in a cool, airy place or in the refrigerator, wash just before consumption, and it's best to arrange delicate specimens in a single layer; excess can be quickly frozen or processed.
