Light beer (lager)
Description
Lager beer is a clear, straw-golden beverage with a delicate foam, featuring a subtle malt-hop balance; the taste is usually slightly sweet, clean, and refreshing, with low bitterness and a smooth finish. Its light structure and neutral aroma make it excellent for quenching thirst and serve as a versatile flavor background in dishes. Nutritionally, lager primarily provides carbohydrates and a small amount of protein, as well as trace amounts of B vitamins and minerals from malt and yeast; when consumed in moderation, it can promote relaxation, but it does not replace a healthy lifestyle. In the kitchen, it is used for marinades, beer batter, breading, braising meat and fish, and deglazing sauces — it pairs well with pork, poultry, and seafood. Store in a cool, dark place or in the refrigerator, keep bottles upright, and consume quickly after opening; do not freeze.
