Passion fruit pulp

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Passion fruit pulp is an aromatic, intense flesh with a light yellow to orange color and small black seeds. The taste is both sweet and sour, with a tropical citrus flavor that is very pronounced, making it an excellent flavor accent. Nutritionally, the pulp provides vitamin C, provitamin A (beta-carotene), fiber, and minerals such as potassium, as well as antioxidants that support immunity, skin health, the digestive system, and cardiovascular health when consumed in moderation. In the kitchen, passion fruit pulp pairs well with drinks and cocktails, sauces, dressings, desserts, ice creams, jams, and as an ingredient in marinades for meats and seafood, adding freshness and acidity. For storage, the best option is an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–4 days; for longer storage, it is advisable to portion and freeze in appropriate containers or ice cube trays for several months. After thawing, mix well before use.
