Description
Creamy 30% crème fraîche is a thick, velvety cream with a light cream color and a slightly sour, buttery taste. With a fat content of 30%, it has a full, silky texture that enhances the flavors of dishes and harmonizes well with both sweet and savory ingredients. It is a fermented product that provides energy and fats, as well as fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, K) and calcium; it also contains protein and promotes a longer feeling of fullness, so it should be used in moderation. In the kitchen, crème fraîche is used to thicken and finish soups, sauces, and stews, as a base for dips, for baking, and for decorating desserts and baked dishes — it withstands heating well and rarely curdles. Store in the refrigerator at around 4°C in a closed container, using within a few days after opening; freezing is not recommended, and if slight separation occurs, simply mix it.
