Freshly squeezed lemon juice
Description
Freshly squeezed lemon juice has an intense, refreshingly sour taste with a distinct citrus note and a clear pale yellow color, often slightly cloudy due to pulp and oils from the peel. As a low-calorie ingredient, it is rich in vitamin C, flavonoids, and citric acid, which supports immunity, has antioxidant properties, facilitates iron absorption, and stimulates digestion; regular use in moderate amounts can also help refresh the taste of dishes and hydrate the body. In the kitchen, lemon juice pairs perfectly with salads, dressings, marinades, fish and poultry dishes, sauces, desserts, and drinks like lemonade and cocktails; it is also used for preserving and preventing the browning of fruits. Store it in a tightly sealed glass or plastic container in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days, and for longer storage, freeze in portions (e.g., in ice cube trays).
