Passion fruit juice
Description
Passion fruit juice has an intense, tropical aroma with a distinct sweet-sour note and exotic floral freshness; its color is usually golden-orange, and the pulp contains small black seeds that add texture, although the strained version is clear. It is a source of vitamins C and A, as well as antioxidants, and also contains potassium and phytochemicals that support immunity, have anti-inflammatory properties, and aid digestion; in its fresh or pasteurized form, it provides a low-calorie, refreshing alternative to sweetened beverages. In the kitchen, it pairs well with cocktails, smoothies, sorbets, desserts, fruit sauces, and fish dishes, as well as dressings and alcoholic drinks, combining nicely with lime, coconut, and chili. It should be stored in the refrigerator (opened for a maximum of 3–5 days), and for longer storage, it is best to freeze in portions or choose pasteurized bottled juices kept in a dry, cool place before opening.
