Fresh trout fillet
Description
Fresh trout fillet has delicate, slightly sweet and nutty flavor notes, as well as firm, pink-orange flesh with a subtle texture that easily flakes apart during cooking. The skin, if left on, is shiny and crispy after frying, and the fillet looks appetizing and elegant on the plate. Trout is rich in high-quality protein and unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, and it also provides vitamins D and B12, as well as selenium, supporting the cardiovascular system and metabolic functions. The fillet is perfect for grilling, frying, baking, smoking, or as delicate tartare and ceviche, pairing wonderfully with citrus, butter, dill, and light salads. Store fresh fillet chilled on ice or in the refrigerator (0–2°C) and use within 1–2 days, and for longer storage, freeze tightly at −18°C and thaw slowly in the refrigerator.
