Description

Triple sec is a clear or slightly amber orange liqueur with an intense, pure aroma of orange peel and a sweet-bitter taste; it can have an alcohol content ranging from 15% to 40% and a distinct sweet citrus note with a bitter finish. Nutritionally, it is a high-calorie product, mainly composed of alcohol and sugars, with no significant proteins or fats; small amounts of essential oils from the fruit may provide antioxidants, but health benefits are limited and associated with moderate alcohol consumption. Triple sec works excellently in cocktails (Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Sidecar), as a flavoring for desserts, creams, sauces, and marinades, as well as for flambéing and baking, where it enhances citrus notes.
