Smoked salmon (optional)
Description
Smoked salmon is a delicate, slightly salty and smoky product with an intense pink-orange hue and a soft, silky texture, often served in thin slices. It is a source of high-quality protein and valuable omega-3 fatty acids (EPA, DHA), as well as vitamins D and B12, selenium, and potassium, which support heart health, cognitive functions, and have anti-inflammatory effects. In the kitchen, it works well both cold and warm — for bagels with cream cheese, salads, spreads, eggs, sandwiches, canapés, or as an elegant addition to appetizers and pasta. Smoked salmon should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of 0–4°C, preferably in its original airtight packaging; once opened, it should be consumed within 1–2 days. It can be frozen, but the texture may change, so it is recommended to freeze only if necessary and consume within 1–2 months.
