Wódka cytrynowa
Description
Lemon vodka is a clear or slightly golden spirit with an intense, fresh aroma of lemon peel and a distinct citrus acidity intertwined with a neutral, purifying base of ethanol. The taste is dominated by a refreshing bitterness and essential oils from citrus fruits, which give it a pleasant freshness and a long, clean finish. Nutritionally, it is an alcohol with a high calorie content (about 60–70 kcal per 30 ml at 40% ABV), practically devoid of protein, fat, and carbohydrates; the lemon aroma contributes small amounts of vitamin C and antioxidants, but health benefits are limited and depend on moderate consumption. In the kitchen, it works well in cocktails, marinades for fish and poultry, citrus sauces, desserts, and for flambéing, where it enhances aromas and brightens the flavor of dishes. Store in a tightly sealed bottle, in a cool and dark place; homemade infusions with fresh lemon should be kept in the refrigerator and consumed within a few weeks.
