Mild chili powder
Description
Mild chili powder is a finely ground blend of dried peppers with a warm, mild spicy aroma featuring earthy-sweet notes and a subtle smoky flavor; it has an intense red-brown color and a silky, loose texture. Nutritionally, it provides few calories but is rich in vitamins A and C and antioxidants, while the capsaicinoids it contains, although weaker than in hot varieties, support metabolism, circulation, and have anti-inflammatory effects; moderate consumption may also aid digestion. In the kitchen, it works well as a seasoning for Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes, soups, stews, marinades, meat blends, roasted vegetables, and eggs, enhancing flavor without overwhelming heat. Store in a tightly sealed container, away from light, moisture, and heat sources; ideally keep for 6–12 months to maintain its aroma.
